Our goal is to explain how the structures arising from the representions of Quantum Groups produce invariant of knots and 3-dimensional manifolds and Topological Quantum Field Theories. We will survey the original construction based on so-called Modular Categories which requires finiteness and semisimplicity. We will then focus on recent non-semisimple developments. In each case we will illustrate the general categorical setting by examples obtained from variants of the sl(2) Quantum Group.

Christian Blanchet,巴黎西岱大学教授。主要研究领域为拓扑量子场论(TQFT)、量子不变量理论、张量范畴理论等,相关研究成果发表在Duke Math. J.,Math. Ann.,Adv. Math.,Comm. Math. Phys., Quantum Topol., Topology, Selecta Math. (N.S.), Comment. Math. Helv. , Algebr. Geom. Topol., J. Knot Theory Ramifications等期刊。曾任法国瓦讷大学数学与数学应用实验室(LMAM)主任,现任Journal of Knot Theory and its Ramifications.编辑。
